Studio Policy -

Full Deposit Required – A full session non-refundable payment is required to book and secure any studio time or any recording studio related services. Same day booking – If you are booking recording studio time the same day you are required to pay at the time of booking your recording studio appointment by an invoice that was sent to you, CashApp, Paypal, or by booking on the online booking site (in the notes you will refer to time that was agreed on by your host engineer). Call to check availability for same day booking if you do not see anything on the calendar at that moment.
No show appointments – If client doesn’t show up for their session appointment time without calling or giving any further notice you will automatically forfeit your deposit funds.
Last minute cancellation – Last minute cancellation will result into a forfeit of deposit or charged a 50% cancellation fee from deposit that was paid.
Refund after service – No refunds after service time has been completed.
Late for session – If you are 20 minutes or more behind on time, please call to avoid session cancellation or a forfeit of funds. Keep in mind your time starts at the time of the session time booked or it starts right at the 10 minute grace period if the scheduling is not delayed. If your host engineer is running behind on time and the client as well, that will help balance the time out for client not to lose any session time related to being late and it will help your host engineer to get caught up with time as well. We understand things happen that’s out of our control that may conflict with studio time but please communicate with us if running behind that way we can make the proper adjustments on session time. If we happen to be running behind on session scheduling time for that day we will notify the client ahead of time to make the proper time adjustments needed.
Session booked 30 days in-advance – If you book a recording session 30 days in advance you have 24 hours before your session date and time to cancel or reschedule. If you fail to do so you will forfeit your deposit funds.
Deposit without a time and date – Any time you make a deposit in advance you have 15 days to confirm a date and time if paying with cash, Cashapp, Paypal, Chime, Apple Pay, or any other electronic app if the session is not booked on the website. If you do not follow through with the policy your deposit will be credited for mixing purposes only.
Missed Recording time – If you fail to miss your recording session date and time due to emergency or illness please contact your host engineer for further details on rescheduling your recording studio time.
Kids are allowed – Kids are allowed to attend recording studio sessions but with a parent supervision if under the age of 15 yrs old.
Pets – If your pet is not a service animal it is not allowed in the facility.
Guest limit – Due to the city fire code safety you are limited to how many guest that can attend your recording session. Call to make sure you are not over the limit before inviting or booking your session if you intend on having a lot of people with you. Check to make sure your amount of guest is good to go.
Pull up without securing time – If you did not secure a recording session with a payment, DO NOT pull up unannounced without talking to a host engineer or somebody that books sessions. We respect the privacy of our clients during live sessions so we may not be able to answer calls, nor come to the door to communicate service details. Payment exchange – We do not exchange card payments with cash. If you paid with a debit/ credit card we will refund your deposit back to your card if you meet the timely requirements of our cancellation policy.
Transportation – We do not offer transportation at any cost.
Equipment damage – If you are not familiar with working with recording studio gear do not touch, adjust, nor move anything you could possibly break or damage. You will be responsible for any damage fees.
Multiple no call no shows – If you have multiple no shows, cancellations, or refund request you will not be allowed to book any more recording sessions at the Chop Spot Recordings.
Dishonest bookings – If you book any recording sessions dishonestly or card fraudulent, you will not be allowed to book again and you will be reported as well, or possibly taking to small claims court if the amount exceeds a probable cause to take affect.
Under the influence – If you are under the influence to where it affects your ability to perform during your recording session your session will be cancelled immediately to offer the necessary steps you may need for your safety getting back home.
Firearms – We value the safety of our clients so we ask if you will leave your weapons/ firearms in the car unless you are an authorize carrier like law enforcement or professional security company.
